It is worth mentioning that upon receiving the award, Professor Tzu-Chi Chan humbly stated that this honor is not the achievement of one individual, but the result of the collective efforts of students over the years who have devoted themselves to research and practical work. He expressed gratitude for the dedication of students in laboratory and R&D processes and affirmed that the collaborative spirit of teaching and learning between faculty and students is the most valuable asset of National Formosa University. These words deeply reflect the character and demeanor of an educator. During the reception, President Lai Ching-te also highly recognized the awardees’ contributions to national technological development and innovation, and encouraged them to continue strengthening their R&D capabilities and to transform innovative成果 into tangible value, bringing positive impact to society and industry. Looking back at the development of the alma mater, from Yunlin Institute of Technology to National Formosa University, it has consistently upheld the educational philosophy of “equal emphasis on theory and practice, and integration of innovation with industry.” Professor Tzu-Chi Chan’s international award is the best testament to the university’s long-term commitment to technological and vocational education and to cultivating both practical and research-oriented talents. This honor belongs not only to Professor Tzu-Chi Chan personally, but also to all faculty, students, and alumni who have studied, researched, and strived at National Formosa University. It reminds us that with continuous improvement and courage to innovate, technological and vocational education can also shine on the global stage. On behalf of the alumni, we sincerely congratulate Professor Tzu-Chi Chan on reaching new heights and look forward to the alma mater continuing to nurture more outstanding talents in the future, creating more impactful innovation value for Taiwan and the world.
